Como The Treasury, Perth, WA
Como The Treasury is a luxury hotel located at Cathedral Square in Perth’s CBD. The hotel occupies the 19th Century State Buildings that included a post office, land titles office and treasury. The buildings have been meticulously restored and re-purposed into a 48-room hotel with two restaurants, a bar and a therapies centre. The hotel is one of Perth’s historical landmarks and was voted the second-best hotel in the world in Conde Nast Traveller’s Readers’ Choice Awards.
Project Design Brief
Designers of the restoration project wanted the pavement areas between the buildings to be level and safe for pedestrians and required an efficient drainage system that would capture all the surface water runoff. The designers also wanted a high quality drainage system with aesthetically pleasing grates that would complement the traditional buildings.
- KlassikDrain KS100 System with Stainless 5 Star HeelsafeAnti-Slip grates
- The KlassikDrain channel has a 0.5% internal slope ensuring water flows to the outlets, ideal for capturing rainwater on flat and level pavements
- The Stainless 5 Star HeelsafeAnti-Slip grates provide pedestrian safety where slip resistance and stiletto heel prevention are required
- The Stainless 5 Star HeelsafeAnti-Slip grates provide an elegant, streamlined drainage system that coordinates aesthetically with the bluestone pavement
